Resetting Your Money Plan: A Helpful Refresh for Your Finances

At Bountisphere, we understand that managing your finances can sometimes feel like a balancing act. Occasionally, you might encounter situations where your Money Plan doesn’t seem to align perfectly with your current balances or goals. That’s where the Manage section in the left navigation can be your best friend.

Why Resetting Your Money Plan Can Be Helpful

Sometimes, taking the step to delete and re-add an account or bank can:

Refresh Your Balances: Ensure that all account balances are up-to-date and accurately reflected.

Recalculate Your Money Plan: A fresh start can realign the forecast and budget, giving you clarity and confidence.

Resolve Sync Issues: If something feels off, resetting might fix discrepancies and get things back on track.

This is completely okay! In fact, it’s a smart move when things don’t look right or when you simply need a clean slate.

How to Reset an Account or Bank

1. Go to the Manage Section: In the left navigation, click the section with the little + sign next to “Manage.”

2. Delete the Account or Bank: Select the account or bank you want to reset, and confirm deletion.

Note: Deleting an account or bank will also delete your current Money Plan associated with it.

3. Re-add the Account or Bank: Use the same Manage section to reconnect your account or bank.

This will automatically regenerate your Money Plan based on the latest data from your bank.

What Happens When You Reset

Your Money Plan Will Restart: Deleting and re-adding clears the old Money Plan and generates a fresh one. Think of it like pressing the reset button—it’s a great way to realign your plan with updated information.

Your Financial Data Stays Secure: Deleting an account or bank doesn’t remove any of your other saved data or preferences in Bountisphere.

When to Consider a Reset

If your balances or transactions aren’t syncing as expected.

If you’ve made significant changes to your accounts outside of Bountisphere.

If you want to start fresh with a new budgeting perspective.

A Regular Practice for a Fresh Start

Think of resetting your accounts as a simple maintenance step. Just like updating your software or clearing out old files, resetting your Money Plan can help you stay organized and proactive about your financial goals. It’s a small action that can make a big difference in your financial clarity.

Remember: It’s perfectly okay to reset when needed! And we’re always here to help if you have any questions or need guidance.

Stay confident in your financial journey—Bountisphere is here to support you every step of the way. 😊
